Are We Strangers Now? is proud to present the first ever headline show from an artist tipped as 2016’s ‘next big thing’ – ASTLES!

Support comes from Katie Mac, Edwin Miles and Caoilfhionn Rose.

ASTLES:

Daniel Astles is a 17 year old singer/songwriter who regularly gigs in Liverpool and Southport. He has been playing gigs since the age of 13 and in that time has written over 100 songs. Genres varying from soft acoustic music to big synth filled filmic electric guitar driven melodies.

Described as a ‘major talent’ by ‘Liverpool Bands’ and having a a ‘polish beyond his years’ by ‘Getintothis.com’. He mostly plays solo with his electric guitar, or occasionally with a backing band, which includes Guitar, Violin and Percussion.

Currently recording a number of tracks in the hope to release a debut single by the end of the year, whilst gigging relentlessly across the country in places such as London, Norwich, Manchester and Liverpool, Including this years Liverpool International Music Festival at Sefton Park.

Now back in Manchester at The Castle Hotel with a full band for his first ever headline show! Catch him now before he makes it big!

KATIE MAC:

Katie Mac emerged onto Liverpool’s music scene in 2013 and having been described to ‘croon like a fallen dreamer’, her folk-oriented guitar playing, accompanied by an eclecticism of lyrical narratives, have grown to become what so many city locals know and love.

After playing Liverpool’s most famous venue The Cavern for BBC Introducing, along with city-based festivals Sound City and LIMF, Katie Mac has recently began to appear in other UK cities and got her first national radio play on BBC Radio 6 Music.

EDWIN MILES:

Edwin Miles is a Manchester based singer-songwriter, who has been described as ‘breathtaking’.

He has appeared on BBC Radio Manchester, and has been taking the North West by storm with his raw acoustic swagger, and skilfully crafted songs which draws you into his unique and soulful sound.

CAOILFHIONN ROSE:

Caoilfhionn (pronounced Keelin) Rose is a singer-songwriter from Manchester who has recently completed a Music degree at Newcastle University. She gigs between her home in Manchester and Newcastle, and dreams of travelling round the world with her music.

Caoilfhionn is also part of several collaborative projects (with some local music legends), and featured on The Durutti Column (Vini Reilly)’s 2014 album ‘Chronicle’.
