Jay Dunn from Manchester UK. His songwriting is heavily influenced by American artists and bands. REM, Billy Joel, Elliot Smith, Dawes, Big Star and Tom Petty being just a few. He started off in a college band called Aqueous Humour, then an acoustic duo called Arch Stanton. This was when he started writing songs. His highlight to date is playing at the Etihad Stadium (home to Manchester City) with the band The Sett.

Circle Of 5 is his first solo project with NYC Producer Tony Long. Since the EP’s single “Sitting In The Dark” first hit YouTube as a music video, Jay has seen a lot of radio play on Cambridge 105, Northwich Radio, and even New Bern LIVE in North Carolina, USA. Blogger Imogen Bebb of The Sound of the Crowd wrote, “lilting and sombre, but offset by just the right amount of delicate vocal delivery and harmonica to lift it out of the depths of complete despair.”

The band at The Castle Hotel will be Jay Dunn on acoustic, Sonny Scales on electric guitar, Abbi Phillips on Drums, Tony Long on bass, and Del Murray stepping in on some tracks with her fiddle.

He is currently booking shows for 2020 throughout the UK and gearing up for festival season.
