ANNA PANCALDI

Please note this is an 18+ event

International songwriter Anna Pancaldi returns for summer 2018 with a new sound, a new album and a lot for her growing fanbase to be excited about.

Already established as one of the UK’s most promising new singer-songwriters, last years ‘Sweet Charity’ EP garnered overwhelming support from BBC 6 Music and Radio 2. Online, the tracks were picked up by Line of Best Fit, and featured on New Music Friday as well as a number of other official playlists, resulting in over 1.5 million streams on Spotify last year. All of this, fanning the flames of a lengthy UK tour including four sold out London shows.

The summer months have kept her busy as well, with live performances including Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party and Cambridge Folk Festival. She’s also supported Prides, Hooverphonic, Bryde, Seafret, Jake Isaac on his European tour and most recently, John Mayer’s guitarist, David Ryan Harris.

Not one to limit her horizons, Anna has enjoyed success in both the UK and US, where she made her US live TV debut on CBS. Her music has also been featured on US show ‘Famous in Love’, a popular drama show on ABC Network. She’s also enjoyed an extended collaboration with Levi’s, for whom she penned a song for their Lot 700 jeans collection and featured in the accompanying advert. The expansion doesn’t stop there though, Anna is also one of few musicians that can boast her own brand of gin.

“What I’ve Become” is the first track from a larger project due for release at the end of summer and it’s a distinctive, statement of intent. Swapping her acoustic-roots for a fuller, indie-leaning pop sound; Pancaldi showcases her diversity and pure songwriting aptitude. The raw emotion of Anna’s previous work is retained, with a bold, gritty indie production foreboding an evolution in Anna’s sound.

‘…Arguably one of the hottest new acts out there.’ – Spindle

‘Really polished… She doesn’t need our help, we need her’ Dermot O’Leary, BBC Radio 2

‘Pancaldi’s lungs expelling the lyrics with a sense, not just of urgency, but of necessity.’ – The Line of Best Fit
