Ethereal and tenacious, VENUS GRRRLS are an all-girl rock band from Leeds, promoting the participation, acknowledgment, and respect of women in the music industry. Aiming to bring fortitude and activism through hard-hitting alternative rock music, the quintet uses electronic and astrological sounds to amplify their sonic signature. With singer/rhythm guitarist Grace Kelly (GK) fronting the band, she is joined by Jess Ayres (Lead Guitar), Hannah Barraclough (Bass), Grace Stubbings (Synth), and Gabby Cooke (Drums). Implementing Riot Grrrl aesthetics and ideologies and after playing with the likes of All Time Low, Anteros, and Bloxx, and as heard on the likes of BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, BBC Intro, and Radio X, VENUS GRRRLS intend to contribute to the elimination of age-old interpretations and preconceptions toward women in rock.
