Van Houten formed in 2017, are a Psychedelic – Pop band whose origins lie in the same vein as Lo-Fi Indie artists such as Ariel Pink, Jay Som and Mac Demarco. Over time, through rigorous experimentation, the band have discovered new ways of capturing and producing their music, taking on more influence from the psychedelic sounds of the sixties and early seventies and have crafted a refined sound that is packed with colorful sonic textures, and dense soundscape which provide an effortless platform for the Pop melodies and catchy hooks. Van Houten will be releasing their debut album on Clue Records.
