Deco presents The Deco Double Dayer – Part 1

Please note this is an 18+ event

Part 1 of a 2 day extravaganza across 2 venues, with:

Springfield Elementary

Known to ‘smash their stage time into tiny minuscule bits’, Springfield Elementary don’t just play gigs. Made up by Billy Goodwin (Vocals/Guitar), Brad Lewis (Lead Guitar), Liam Moffat (Bass) and Chris Tomkinson (Drums), the psychedelic four-piece were born out of blind optimism that – as a band – they could salvage some credibility for themselves (one broken guitar string at a time).

Crapsons

Hailing from the land of hopes and dreams: Wirral, Crapsons are a punk duo. Fast, heavy, noisy, silly.

“Crapsons are reminiscent of The Sleaford Mods, Half Man Half Biscuit and a raw high school garage punk band. The influences are easy to hear but they come out sounding original with fast paced fuzzy bass and crashing cymbals as the singer spits bars like a young John Cooper Clarke” – Destroy Ugly Radio

AUGHRA

Aughra started out as a few demos on Soundcloud, made purely for the band’s own entertainment. 2018 saw various line ups of the band making the occasional appearance supporting the likes of Cassie, Rose & the Diamond Hand and Springfield Elementary. This year, they’re settling on a line up and have been shaping their live set, beginning to find a home on Manchester’s alternative music circuit.

Three Dimensional Tanx

“Three Dimensional Tanx have a sound that is the essence of garage psychedelia, a heady mixture of freak out and manic energy delivered via a kick ass rhythm section, lysergic wah wah guitars, krautrock synths/ 60s organ and a lead singer who may very well have lost his mind. If you need comparisons, try early Who or Sonics dropping cheap speedy acid with the Television Personalities. No, on second thought, that doesn’t even come close. These guys are great.” – Active Listener

The Early Mornings

The Early Mornings are a three piece poetry-inspired art-rock band based in Manchester. The band have been playing extensively across the Manchester area over the last six months and their live set is an effortless, fast-paced journey through their melody-ridden repertoire. Expect a combination of tight fuzzy pop songs delivered in a Breeders-esq format with a contemporary smooth vocal delivered akin to Courtney Barnett.

£7 per show – both shows for £10. Other Date – The Eagle Saturday 20th – https://eagleinn.info/events/the-deco-double-dayer-part-2/
