The Creature Comfort w/ Giant Boys

Please note this is an 18+ event

Come save your soul on Sunday 4 August with an explosive rock’n’roll show, enigmatic brilliance, chaotic moves, hip shaking beats, Sauce and more!

THE CREATURE COMFORT
Darkly surreal, provocative and enigmatically brilliant, The Creature Comfort play a type of alternative rock that is hard to pin down – and always mesmerising.  Their electrifying live shows provoke rapturous responses from audiences of all ages and has gained them a celebrity fanbase among other bands, both new (The Blinders, Evil Blizzard) and established (US 60’s garage legends The Sonics, Badly Drawn Boy).

The band formed after singer, continental hippie and eternal outsider Ben Le Jeune arrived in Manchester UK and found some like-minded musicians to develop their illuminated psych rock sound. This led to early adoption by the Stone Roses manager and to learning their chops at the feet of greats like Gun Club and Mudhoney. All this was prior to a tragic hiatus as the millennium approached and from which the band has emerged, now even more on fire.

GIANT BOYS
Giant Boys are the Salford based Post Punk duo of Scottie McKnight & Guy Connor. They formed in the spring of 2017 out of a mutual desire to record something satisfyingly heavy. As the project progressed, it became clear that the Giant Boys ethos was to write and record very quickly, always using first takes and never overthinking or labouring songs, allowing the initial energy and feel of the idea to be what is finally heard on record. They’ve had a string of rave reviews, radio play, and the praise & support of BBC 6 Music and Introducing DJ Tom Robinson.
