taupe: Experimental polyrhythmic free-jazz from Newcastle. This trio have been slaying the Manchester scene recently, having supported doom jazz legends Bohren & Der Club of Gore earlier in the year, to more recently fracturing the ear-drums of a packed out tent at the Mancheser Jazz Festival!
Gliding effortlessly between genres while playing 5 different time signatures at once, this gig sees them in a new setting, primed for neck-snapping, body twisting, math-bop dancing.

Big Machine: Fast. Slow. Short. Heavy. Big Machine.

Crashtactics: Manchester-based two-peice. Sitting at the uneasy crossroads of metal, math/post-rock and shoegaze, they’ve been compared to Meshuggah, Swervedriver and Battles, but not Oceansize. Sad times.
Crashtactics find themselves leaping from genre to genre, striving to put right what once went wrong and hoping each time that their next leap will be the leap home.

Historically Fucked: So fresh they don’t even have a Facebook page yet, this is the latest aural shitstorm from David Birchall, Otto Willberg, Greta BuitkutÄ—, and Alecs Pierce.
Guaranteed to be a veritable feast of improvisation, jazz, noise, and tangled cables, I’m actually a little scared to see this group live.
