Are We Strangers Now? are proud to present a joint headline show from two of the best up-and-coming bands of the moment – Baby Brave and Mad Winter!

We are also very excited that our support act for the evening will be Foxtales – who will be performing a very rare acoustic set – with brand new songs yet to be released, and some old ones thrown in for good measure!

BABY BRAVE:

Wrexham’s Baby Brave have a unique sound which is described as ‘infectious, guitar-driven noise-pop’.

Drawing on influences from PJ Harvey, Brian Eno, My Bloody Valentine and Talking Heads, this fearless-four-piece have a gutsy, heavy sound.

Their most recent release being a highly anticipated second E.P. ‘Tacky Birthday’ in November 2015. The success of their first offering, a four track E.P. ‘King Horse’ (2014 Drum With Our Hands) soon had the attention of BBC Radio Wales, as well as grabbing the band festival appearances and regular gigs across the UK that included support slots for Bo Ningen, Stealing Sheep, H Hawkline, Slow Club, Colorama and Gulf.

Baby Brave’s cocktail concoctions of pop music continue to intoxicate audiences across the UK, so catch them in the intimate surroundings of The Castle Hotel while you can!

The city of Manchester is well known for it’s love of music, and the quality of it’s musical output is immense.

One new band who are following in the footsteps of many of the legendary acts who have emerged from Manchester is Mad Winter.

The members of the band are Scott Morris on bass, James Hartley on vocals and rhythm guitar, George Fitzgibbon on lead guitar and backing vocals and Callum Thomson on drums.

They are an exciting and infectious four piece who merge indie rock with subtle electronic tones, these guys are primarily united by their love of music and hometown idols Oasis, as well as Stereophonics and Foals.

2016 is looking like a super exciting year for FOXTALES.

With their self-titled debut EP recently released to critical acclaim, they already have a number of gigs lined up across the country.

FOXTALES are a mostly girl band, made up of four girls, and one boy; Amy (guitar/vocals) Cassie (guitar/vocals) Angela (mandolin/vocals) Briony (bass) and The Scoon (drums).

They create a dark psychedelic folk, woven with glittering harmonies that tell stories of lust, love and loss.

For this very special rare acoustic set the band will be playing as an acoustic 3 piece, with a sneak peak of some brand new songs yet to be released, and a few old classics thrown in too!
