SJM Concerts Presents Ardyn

Please note this is an 18+ event

The Valley EP will be released on the 19th July through Aesop and consists of four tracks. The EP is fronted by a new single and the title track which was produced by James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Florence & The Machine), with additional production by Mike Crossey (Foals, The 1975).

Ardyn: “The Valley was written whilst retreating to the countryside to stay with friends in Devon. It was written one day whilst lost to a hangover looking at this incredible view of a valley. Subconsciously, it was probably about reconnecting with nature because is seems that we’ve all lost our connection to the earth, and this song is kind of a celebration of someone’s reconnection with the valleys they used to love and explore as children.

“At the time, we had been recording in London, and to go down to such a secluded and beautiful place of beauty truly overwhelmed us and fueled our inspiration.”

Ardyn are Brit brother and sister Rob and Katy Pearson, and this EP follows the widespread acclaim for their debut EP Universe through National Anthem in 2015. This year has found the band sharing their time equally between the road and the studio, with a highlight, standout performance at The Great Escape back in May.

The Valley is Ardyn’s most accomplished and strident track to date, capped by Katy’s icy vocal delivery. It’s a bold step forward, and another tantalizingly example of what Ardyn, in their infancy, are capable of.
