SIFAKA

Sifaka are a 5-piece Rock N’ Soul band from Leeds. Sifaka’s raw ‘gravel-Stax’ sound combines bucolic English lyrics with the unmistakable country soul of Nashville and the Deep South, inspired by Van Morrison, Traffic, St Paul and the Broken Bones and The Alabama Shakes.

An integral part of the Leeds music scene, Sifaka have supported Kaiser Chiefs and Pete Doherty at Bingley Music Live, Toureg legends Imarhan at the Brudenell Social Club, and Melt Yourself Down at The Wardrobe. Following a string of UK Festivals (Live at Leeds, Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Bath International Music Festival, HowTheLightGetsIn) Sifaka’s last EP Launch was covered in the New York Times and named BBC Introducing’s Gig of the Week.

Sifaka’s debut album – ‘Once Upon a Time in the North’ – was produced by Will Jackson (Pigeon Detectives, Wiz Khalifa, Kaiser Chiefs) and released to critical acclaim on 31st May 2019.

Lim And The Lovers

Lim And The Lovers is an energetic blues rock trio forged in the heart of Northern England and on either side of the Pennines.

Three star crossed teenagers first met in a house with guitars and brie. 7 years later, here they are, ready to perform their electrifying take on blues rock and eat brie…and they’re all out of brie.

Trŵbz

Four years ago, Trwbz from the vale of Clwyd was a relatively new name on the Welsh music before they made their mark on the Welsh music scene with their new debut album ‘Yn y dechrau’. A combination of soaring riffs and powerful female vocals from Mared Williams – mainly rock orientated with Soul, blues and alternative influences.

The last few years have been pretty manic for the band between studying for their degrees and trying to find weekends to perform and write new material for their EP “Croesa’r afon’ which was voted best welsh EP for the year 2018.

Trwbz list numerous influences including Big Leaves, Paolo Nutini and Led Zeppelin that have helped this young band shape and mould their own sound and style. The songs were all composed by the band and they’ve also recorded the album themselves without the guidance of a producer. Sain were happy to give them access to the studio in Llandwrog on weekends with Sion Jones acting as engineer – they were given the freedom to experiment and enjoy the studio experience.
