Sam McGurk With guests Matthew Fisher, Jack Connor & Jace Campbell

Please note this is an 18+ event

Sam McGurk is Manchesters next songwriting prodigy, with influences ranging from the likes of Jake Bugg, Elliott Smith and Nirvana.

Carrying a neat blend of raw 50’s rock n roll, 60s psychedelia with a touch of 90s alternative; Sam’s first album “Outside Saint Bride” was released in August 2017, directly inspired by the magic of the Welsh valleys in Pembrokeshire. The album was recorded in Ashton, produced by Hip Hop master Tom Caruana and engineered by Jordan Barrett.

A subsequent promotional video of the single “Empty Bottle” was released along with live performances of “Runaway” and “Sparrow”. Sam later appeared on Mike Sweeney’s BBC Radio Manchester show to promote the album and perform a live version of “Wanna Go Home”.

2018 saw Sam begin to build a loyal following in Manchester after notable after performances at Indie Week festival Manchester and a support slot with Twisted Wheel at Gorilla in November.
