Formed in 2014 in Nicosia, Cyprus, and now based in Manchester, Sound Of Thieves are an experimental electro-funk duo consisting of Phoebe Pope (UK) on vocals and Jan Bures (Poland) on the electric bass. The group was born from a vision of creating a full and varied sound with the use of as few musicians as possible. They have achieved this through their use of sampling, live-looping and live instruments.
Performing a range of unusual covers as well as original music, Sound Of Thieves take their inspiration from all forms of music surrounding them, be it classical, funk, electronic, or even world music, and transmit this inspiration in their live shows, electrifying audiences with their grooves, beats and sounds.
ASTLES:

An artist that is unafraid to chart new musical waters, the Liverpool-based singer-songwriter and producer has been praised for his dynamic vocal style, captivating melodies and artistic boldness and a delicate rawness to a mature sound.
The prodigious talent has been compared favourably to compelling music artists such as Jeff Buckley, Ben Howard and Bon Iver by his growing legion of fans, many of whom include key new music tastemakers such as BBC Introducing, Bido Lito Magazine and many more.
After Winning 2016’s Soundstation Final, Astles released Live EP ‘Live at The Nordic’ to local critical acclaim.
He is currently completing his first studio EP – due out later this year.
