Reading Night. The Castle. 66 Oldham Street. 19.30. June 8th. Free Entry. All Welcome.Dear all, come along to a new reading night at The Castle in The Northern Quarter. Relax, have a drink, and hear some of Manchester’s contemporary talent.
As we go forward, the concept will be to showcase YOU, Salford students, alongside the best in newly published writers. On this first night, Level 4 student Sky Wolf will be reading alongside best-selling novelist Anna Hope, Somerset Maugham award winner Joe Stretch, novelist and director of The Faber Academy, Richard Skinner, our very own Scott Thurston and David Savill.
This first night also represents #VanguardOnTour @VanguardRead, a popular reading night and independent publisher based in London. Over the past five years, Vanguard has showcased the best new talent in poetry and prose with no limits on genre, from best selling thriller writer SJ Watson, to poet Michael Symmons Roberts.
