Psyblings are a five-piece psych/noise rock band hailing from Manchester. Merging gritty blues rock, psychedelic rock and punk, the band channel influence from acts such as Ty Segall, The Dee Dee Dums, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Jimi Hendrix, Sonic Youth and Nirvana to create catchy recordings and unique, live performances with sense engaging improvisation. Psyblings is made up of Greg Dixon [vocals], Ellis Cullen [Drums], Dan Coleman [Guitar], Sam Bullock [guitar] and Jordan Lythgoe [bass].
Brit punk rock newcomers Valensole lay down a marker with their blistering new EP ‘Where We Should Be’, which is unleashed via all stores on Friday 3rd March. Before then, the UK punk embark on a UK tour this January.
In a time where alternative music has largely lost its raw edge and
originality, punk rock unfortunately doesn’t have the bite it once had. Ready to chomp down on the scene however, Valensole’s candid music and high-energy live performances are set to give punk rock a new lease on life. Reared by an eclectic mix of rock music, with a particular affection for Nirvana, Green Day, Sum 41, and early Foo Fighters, the band have taken their cues from past masters and have forged their own imprint and style.
Formed this year and coming at you from Southampton, Valensole have a strong DIY ethic. The band crafted and recorded their forthcoming debut EP, Where We Should Be, at their very own music space, which is used for rehearsals
and now recording.
Three-piece blues/garage rock duo appearing on the front cover of Classic Rock Magazine and were named as one of the ’16 hottest new bands’ in the world, the blues-inspired trio offer us their own brand of unsanitary rock throughout, from the snarling and ferocious drumming to a spaghetti-western aura of guitar, this makes them a shoe-in to be found in some backwater Texan town in the next decade screaming their heads off and pouring JD down their throats. Smokin’ Durrys fail to let up and let you breathe, instead they ram their hard hitting sound down your throat. You either like it or lump it with this pair, and with being named one of classic rock’s 16 hottest new bands in the world they will easily leave you embodying a dozy hangover from Hell.
