Old Sun, New Moon is a transatlantic duo made up of Lancashire singer-songwriter Tom Welsh and ambient noisemaker Ethan Helfrich (they/them) from Indiana, US. The two met in February 2022 in Manchester and quickly forged a musical partnership comprising Tom’s introspective northern songwriting and Ethan’s midwestern experimental ambient guitar mastery (showcased as solo project Black Brunswicker). The result weaves beautifully textured songs with a rich lyrical landscape, often bolstered by a rotating cast of collaborators.

The solo project of songwriter Wanda Roslyn, Anyone’s Ghost first emerged from Manchester in 2019, immediately making an impact with delicate, solemn songs that touch on themes of romance, mystery and murder.

Henry Parker‘s contemporary take on folk, which he explores via thoughtful yet deeply accomplished guitar playing, unfurls and moves much like the landscape itself – mirroring the unpredictable, yet beautifully flowing, rolling hills and valleys of his native county of West Yorkshire.
