Please note this is an 18+ event
This month Nailed It! features

Jon Kenzie

Jon Kenzie is an accomplished singer-songwriter from Manchester [UK] with his musical roots firmly based in blues, folk and soul. Perhaps a perfect example of how an independent artist can survive and thrive in the modern music industry today. Jon has already managed to produce and release two acclaimed solo albums without, so far, relying on support from record companies. He has gained thousands of followers from touring the world by playing concerts and busking on the street; just recently producing his third solo album, ‘From Wanderlust’ which is out now and available online and in the shops.

He has truly worked his way up from the grass roots, first playing on the streets and in the clubs of Manchester and then traveling Europe and the States, performing in every town that he comes to. When performing on the streets Jon’s passionate and soulful vocals never fail to stop passers-by in their tracks, which has lead to the impressive and completely organic growth of his musical career. It is in this way that Jon has gone from strength to strength, playing bigger and bigger venues and festivals and continues to bring his music to the ears of more people around the world.

Martin Connor

Martin is a soulful singer who is influenced mostly by the vocal styles of 50’s & 60’s Doo-Woo, Gospel and soul singers. Currently working with Manchester Hip-Hop crew ‘Bluntskins’ and Leeds based, Latin 11-piece ‘Bugalu Foundation’, he continues to lend his voice and writing to an eclectic mix of music. Martins voice has been heard many times on BBC Radio 6 which has featured tracks from ‘Bugalu Foundation’, ‘ATA Records-somebody stole My thunder’ and ‘Mister North – Man who sold his life’.

Alina Ly

In 2011 Alina Ly emerged into Seattle, Washington’s music scene. She began performing as a feature artist at numerous open mic’s and venues until her career led her to Los Angeles, California in 2013. Unlike many stories of dreams being chased in Los Angeles, for Alina, L.A. was just a pit stop. While developing her sound, Ly worked numerous production roles within the film and music industry until she found her music taking her to the UK. She has spent the last two years busy with gigs and recording between Seattle, Los Angeles, and Manchester, UK. This year she released her first live EP titled ‘TakeOne’ while on her first supporting European tour. With many projects in the works, ‘TakeTwo: Live In Manchester’ is her next EP set to drop before the end of this year.

Ben P Williams

A Manchester based singer-songwriter who moulds the classic song-writing sound of Paul Simon with the laid back nature of Jack Johnson, Ben Williams is a difficult artist to pigeonhole and is all the better for it. His second album ‘Put It On Ice’ iwas released in February 2017. Completely self-penned and featuring a selection of the finest musicians in Manchester, Williams has delivered a gem of an album. Often quirky, sometimes funny, and occasionally more reflective, the songs demonstrate a fantastic range of approaches and ideas.

Thanks to a busy touring and busking schedule around the UK and Europe, Ben’s song-writing and singing have matured since his debut album, which was described by R2 magazine as ‘guaranteed to bring a smile to your face’, and by Janice Long as ‘so beautiful’. The single ‘Hold Your Fire’ was played on the Dermot O Leary show on BBC Radio 2, and ‘I Can Do That’ received heavy airplay form BBC Introducing in Manchester. BBC Radio 2 also played Ben’s Christmas song ‘Too Cold For Snow’ on Christmas Day.
