Preparing for the release of a record in autumn, Lindsay Munroe brings her band to the Castle to showcase a collection of new songs that draw on influences such as Marika Hackman, Sharon Van Etten and Laura Marling. Munroe has spent the past three years exploring her sound and has come back with a confident, fresh offering of songs that sit somewhere between Indie, Alternative and Folk music. The show spans from delicate introspection to alt-rock without skipping a beat, whilst Munroe’s commanding vocal threads through each song.
After receiving regular radio play on BBC Introducing Manchester, Munroe has supported acts such as Luke Sital-Singh, Mikaela Davis and Matthew and the Atlas. A new EP will be released later in the year, produced by Chris Hamilton (Torres, LUMP) and featuring Fern Ford (The Big Moon) on drums.
