Holy Folk Night

O’Neill Bros

Hailing from a distant Irish island in Donegal resident to 20 people, seems a strange
origin for blues influenced O’Neill Bros.

Yet the former shepherds and smallholders inspired by their homeland struggles now forge a life in music, combining blues flavours of Mark Knopfler, the anthemic rock furore of Bruce Springsteen and gritty, unrefined Eddie Vedder like vocals with a purpose of creating music that reflects the times.

Having taken flight to Manchester in 2016, the O’Neill Bros continue with an ethos of writing heart wrenching, soul searching, noise complaint making, Wild Atlantic Rock!

Andom Poggi

Manchester-based artist with roots in Eritrea and Italy; who synthesizes jazz, folk and psychedelic genres into a cluster of classical guitar written songs. He uses
skat-singing and kazoo solos to coax listeners into a state of peaceful confusion. He also has a deep fondness for watermelons.

Lea Willms

Lea Willms is a 21-year-old singer-songwriter from Germany. She is currently based in Manchester studying at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute. Her folk influences and ingenious storytelling reveal themes of finding love, losing love, and coming of age in her songs.
