Formed during the summer of 2012, Faitala bring together cute, quirky 8-bit sounds underneath layers of thoughtful lyrics and beautiful harmonies.

Keeping it simple with just three, this loveable collective of New Zealand songwriter David Faitala, EV Houlton on keys and Oli Hughes on drums really make you feel a part of something special. You’re left coming away from one of their shows with a warm and fuzzy feeling and a bunch of catchy songs that will be stuck in your head for days.

They’ve had a very busy 2013 playing live shows at Dot to Dot Festival, Tramlines Festival, Club Fandango, Hey! Manchester and Carefully Planned Festival as well as shows with Sweet Baboo and Jesca Hoop. Recently the band also did a live session on Marc Riley’s BBC 6 Music show and their track Plush has had plays on Gideon Coe’s 6 Music Show, Tom Robinson’s BBC Introducing Mixtape, BBC Introducing Manchester, John Kennedy’s XFM X-Posure Show and In Colour with Darren Cleary on RTÉ 2XM.
