DHP Family presents Diving Station w/ Granfalloon + Hugo M Hardy

Please note this is an 18+ event

Diving Station’s harp-driven dream pop delineates the sound of a young band in full bloom. A culmination of four contrasting creative personalities results in detailed, interwoven arrangements framing memorable, dynamic songs. The band found common ground over the likes of Big Thief, Dirty Projectors and Alvvays, and have worked together since 2015 to self-release two distinct EPs that demonstrate their ingenuity with a combination of ethereal, energetic and lyrically poignant material.
Their sophomore EP ‘Feather Mouth’, released December 2018, is the band’s most accomplished creative contribution yet. The EP is a four track concoction of melodic intensity and musical determination. The lyrical content and title of this work explores themes of stilted conversation and the trials of communication whilst coming of age.

The lead single, ‘You’re Not Listening’, has been featured on both Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson’s BBC Radio 6 shows, as well as BBC Introducing in Manchester, where the band recently recorded a live session and are regularly played. A live version of ‘You’re Not Listening’ has also been uploaded to YouTube alongside other tracks from the EP.

Diving Station have performed across the UK and supported bands such as Caro, Thyla and Cherry Glazerr. They have appeared on festival line ups at Glastonbury, Bluedot and Dot to Dot as well as selling out several headline shows in Manchester.
Recorded and mixed with producer Hugo Meredith-Hardy in the lake-side surroundings of the Cambridge countryside, ‘Feather Mouth’ builds upon the dream-like sound world first established in their previous release ‘Alice’. This returns in the wavering, heavily affected guitars, yet is matured and strengthened by the more focused musical arrangements and the illuminating lyrical content.
