Danny Gruff was born and raised in Wrexham, a small town in North Wales. Inspired by his brother’s CD collection, Danny picked up a guitar at the age of 11 and the rest is history. What started out as playing covers of Oasis and The Beatles in local pubs, has resulted in him developing his own sound and finding his voice. This sound has seen him share the stage all the world with the likes of Bowling For Soup, Busted, McFly, Frank Turner and Bastille as well as playing some major festivals.
Following the release of his self titled debut album in 2017, Danny racked over half a million streams on Spotify, a couple of sold out UK tours and a host of new experiences to write about on his second album. This sophomore album came in the form of ‘Author of My Own Misfortunes’, which was a progression from the debut. Taking influence from the likes Bruce Springsteen, Gaslight Anthem, Stereophonics, Newton Faulkner and McFly.
