Known for intimate, disarmingly funny performances and quietly devastating songs, Welsh/Irish Dan Bettridge isn’t your typical Folk/Americana singer-songwriter. Balancing melancholy with warmth and unexpected humour, Bettridge has gently found his way into hearts around the world racking up millions of streams. Personally selected by ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris as his favourite new artist and named Acoustic Magazine’s ‘Next Big Thing’, he has had continuous support from BBC Radio, an appearance in Rolling Stone, four invites to the famous SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas, and two sold out nights at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire with Band Of Horses.
“Everything he touches turns to gold” – Bronwen Lewis, BBC Radio presenter & singer
Having spent time co-writing for other artists from Nashville to London, this 2027 UK tour sees Bettridge return with his own, much anticipated sophomore album, ‘Everything, absolutely’. An evolution that saw him collaborate with some of the UK’s best folk/bluegrass musicians, including Rhodri Viney on pedal steel, David Grubb on strings and Darren Eedens on banjo. The album also includes a feature from multi-platinum, award winning indie-folk artist Novo Amor.
“Feels like a soft hand reaching through the dark” – Atwood Magazine
While charming audiences worldwide, Bettridge’s M.O. has stayed true to his humble beginnings – creating a space where stories, connection and song are the star of the show. His shows are quiet revelations that will stay with you long after the last note has rung out.
