CHARLOTTE CARPENTER:

Following a successful run of early EPs, championed by BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 2 and Virgin Radio, with tastemakers like The Line of Best Fit through to rock bible Classic Rock praising Charlotte’s raw, soulful songwriting and with comparisons to the likes of Cream, Cat Power, Bonnie Raitt and PJ Harvey, Charlotte set out to make her debut album which was funded by Help Musicians UK. These summer shows are an inside, intimate look at what’s to come for her long awaited debut which lands Autumn 2023.

KELLI BLANCHETT:

Kelli Blanchett is a disabled musician from the Midlands. Her music is melancholy guitar pop with tinges of shoe gaze and folk. She explores the indignities of toxic relationships, sexual exploration, and what it feels like to be a working class woman. She sings backing vocals for SELF ESTEEM and Rebecca Lucy Taylor (Self Esteem) has produced her EP, being released this year. She’s been touring the UK as solo musician and Europe as session musician. She’s an advocate for disability rights in the music industry, concentrating on making access better for Artists.

SOFT LAD:

SOFT LAD (aka Sophie Galpin) is no stranger to the music scene, having been either touring or in the studio for most of her adult life. As a musician, she is a multi-instrumentalist for the like of SELF ESTEEM and SOAK. Now she has made her way to the front of the stage with her own heartfelt pop songs, releasing her debut EP ‘Maximum Feels’ in 2022, inspired by the 90s pop of her youth – think Eternal, The Spice Girls and Destiny’s Child, but her songs nod to indie sensibilities such as guitar solos and soaring singalong choruses.
