Belles and Gals presents Emma Moore/Boxes/Lisa T – A Nashville Style Round

Please note this is an 18+ event

Emma Moore brings ALL the fire you’d expect from a Redhead.

On first listen you could say Moore’s powerful vocals are her standout feature, but her real superpower is how she makes an audience feel
during a show.

In fact, I dare you not to feel every word this Artist sings.

Since her debut album ‘Pilot’ was released in 2016 Moore’s trademark
honesty and alternative views on life have only grown stronger, from
Whiskey confessions in ‘The Bottom of the Bottle’ to finding love in the
wrong places with ’Trouble’.

2018’s ‘Good Girl’ was no exception, speaking to the secret rebel inside us all. The track was played for 8 consecutive weeks on BBC Introducing upon it’s release, garnered over 30,000 streams on Apple Music and led to Moore
and her band being invited to play Bob Harris’ Under The Apple Tree stage
at the inaugural Long Road Festival that year.

After a “school break” (in which she gained her Masters Degree in Songwriting) Moore turned up the amps in 2019 with ‘Dutch Courage’, her boldest release to date. Confidence oozes throughout the
tracks clever lines and determined story.

In her first EP ‘the table’ Moore offers a delightful escape from the need to be perfect – you won’t find neat little fairytales tied up with a bow here. The conversations in these songs are honest, flawed, and in true Emma Moore style, unafraid to be difficult. The messages of self-worth and strength are underscored by the traditional sounds of Mandolin, Banjo and Pedal Steel alongside shredding Slide Guitars and thumping Drums, creating a
soundtrack as dynamic as the stories themselves. It has been celebrated by fans and critics alike, and in November 2021 was nominated for ‘Album of the Year’ at the British Country Music Awards.

Boxes:

Boxes are a four piece Country Rock outfit hailing from Manchester, UK. But can also appear in an acoustic duo

The band have been hailed as ‘Nashville -Upon-Irwell’ as they have been likened to the country scene in the Southern states but have maintained elements of the North West of England deep within their music. The river Irwell being the river which flows through the city they now reside in, Manchester.

They’ve grown a following over lockdown where they have shared the online stage with many of the UK tops country talents, mainly preforming as an acoustic duo as David and Josh live together. Their new single ‘Over’ was played on Chris Country, Arc Country Radio as well as many independent stations – the single even caught the attention of The Shires who highlighted Boxes as their one to watch on their Apple Music radio show.

Lisa T:
Chart topping Lisa T from Manchester has made a real impact with her latest number 1 release ‘Babydoll’. The track shows a different side to Lisa – sass, attitude and an artist who knows what she wants both personally and professionally. ‘Baby Doll’ highlights Lisa’s smooth and pure vocals, while you can almost hear the sparkle in her eyes when she sings. The song is a follow up to ‘A Year Too Long’ which soared into the charts at number 2. The recent success has seen Lisa become one of the most sought after artists on the UK country scene, with projects in place with both the BBC and ITV.

Lisa is no stranger to the stage, starring in musicals from a young age. Her musical theatre background set her in good stead for taking on country music. Lisa grew up in a musical household with her father being an acoustic guitarist favouring Irish country songs, some of which Lisa includes in her gig sets. Lisa performs at venues in Manchester, Cheshire and London.

Lisa also supports fellow musicians with their mental health through her role as wellbeing specialist with the ‘Belles and Gals’ team. As a fully accredited Mindfulness teacher and Mental Health first aider, she has secured a slot on BBC Radio ‘Mindful Mondays with Lisa T’ where she shares wellbeing tips with listeners.
